GENERAL INFORMATION:
A. Counseling
The counseling service consists of vocational, educational, and personal
counseling which is provided to students who request it and also to
those referred to the center. The purpose of the counseling is to aid
the student in understanding himself/herself, his/her interests, and
his/her abilities.
A personal data card containing test results plus other data is
maintained for each student.
Faculty members are encouraged to consult counselors about problems of
their students.
B. Testing Services
Under the direction of the director of the Testing Center, tests are
administered, scored, and interpreted.
A test scoring machine is maintained in the Computer Center for the
purpose of scoring tests. This service is provided to any faculty
member who uses tests which can be machine scored.
ACT or SAT examinations, which are taken as part of the entrance requirements, provide guidance testing data for special departmental needs.
