- POLICY
- The Library does not buy copies of books for personal use of faculty members.
- Faculty members are entirely responsible for books checked out in their name and,
therefore, are expected to pay for books which are not returned when recalled or which are
lost or damaged.
- PROCEDURE
- Books may be borrowed for one quarter. Magazines may be borrowed for three days. Films
may be borrowed usually for one day.
- At the end of each quarter, faculty members will receive a list of the books checked out
in their name. Each book should then be returned to the Library and renewed. Any book is
subject to recall at any time and should be returned immediately when requested by the
Library.
- A physical inventory may be required on books that are kept longer than one quarter.
Every book at that time should be physically accounted for either by bringing the book to
the Library or by permitting a member of the Library staff to come to the faculty member's
office.
- Films and projection equipment are available for classroom use. Items may be reserved by
calling the Film Distribution Office in the Library. Individuals should schedule items at
least 24 hours in advances to insure delivery. Films and equipment are not to be used for
personal use. Faculty members are entirely responsible for films and equipment checked out
in their name and are, therefore, expected to pay for things that are lost or damaged.
