POLICY

A. A Learning Resources Policy Committee shall be appointed by the Faculty Senate and shall consist of at least one faculty member from each college.

B. The Learning Resources Policy Committee, with support from the Library personnel, shall determine the needs of the collection of the Library.

C. All departments, divisions and units on campus shall submit on appropriate forms each school year, at the time of the University budget hearings, a request (and justification) for funds to purchase such learning materials necessary for the support of their instructional and research program for which the Library is to be responsible.

D. The Learning Resources Policy Committee shall recommend, with endorsement by Library administration, allocation of available funds (gifts, grants, appropriations) for the acquisition and distribution of learning materials on the basis of needs, goals and resources available.
