POLICY

A. The Stewart Library at Weber State University will utilize the services of the Credit Bureau of Ogden for the purpose of collecting overdue books and fines on accounts under $30 (Small Claims Court is used for accounts of $30 and over) and for accounts over $30 which bear undeliverable mailing addresses or addresses to which court papers cannot be served; i.e., P. O. box numbers.

B. A schedule of charges will be agreed upon between the University and the Credit Bureau that will ensure that the Credit Bureau receives a minimum of $10 in commission per account and that the Library receives the full cost submitted to the Bureau.

C. Should a bona fide error be discovered on the part of the Library after an account has been sent to the Bureau, the Bureau will honor any request from the Library to cancel that account.
