POLICY
Weber State University, as an institution of higher education with the stated
goals of providing "quality programs which prepare students properly for the
vocational and professional tasks of adult life," supports Cooperative
Education as an approach to learning, based on the principle that practical
experience can add relevance to education and can strongly fortify the
individual in the total learning process.
Further, Weber State University demonstrates this support to the Cooperative Education option to learning with the establishment of a Career Planning and Cooperative Education Center to be closely related to the academic structure, not aligned with any particular school or division, and to serve as a key point of contact between faculty and practitioners as well as between institution and employers.
