POLICY
A. It is the policy of Weber State University to place a high priority on
the safety and well-being of its faculty, staff, students and others.
B. It is Weber State's goal to minimize accidental injury within reasonable
constraints. It is the responsibility of all personnel to promote
safety in the environment and operations under their control.
C. Campus administrators and supervisors should be continuously cognizant
of the safety needs of personnel and initiate necessary prevention
measures to control safety hazards associated with activities under
their direction. Safety should be incorporated as an integral part of
all activities.
D. Weber State subscribes to recognized standards for safety and fire
protection, such as those published by the National Safety Council, the
National Fire Protection Association, the Uniform Building Code, the
American Standards Association and other recognized safety standard-making bodies.
E. Safety suggestions are encouraged and should be directed to the campus
Safety Office.
