II. POLICY

For the purpose of determining retirement schedules, normal retirement for faculty and staff is June 30 following their 65th (sixty-fifth) birthday with optional retirement as appropriate conditions and mutual consent between retiree and the University permit.

III. PROCEDURES

A. The Human Resource Office is to be notified by the department supervisor 90 (ninety) days prior to an individual's expected retirement date to facilitate the arrangements for the insurance conversion and start of the retirement plan benefits.

B. Individual counseling is available through the Human Resource Office to answer questions regarding retirement, social security, medicare and conversion of life insurance.
