POLICY

I. Administrative Standing Committees shall be provided in areas of campus operation where a continuing need for consultation and advice exists.  Appointing authorities should provide an up-to-date written statement as to the functions and purposes to be served by each committee.

II. Temporary ad hoc committees shall be appointed only when the subject

cannot be handled adequately by a standing committee and shall be appointed with a definite statement of assignment and time limit for operation.
