DEPARTMENTAL HONORS
- » Program Prerequisite: Enroll in General Honors and complete at least 8 hours
in general Honors courses.

- » Grade Requirements: Maintain an overall GPA of 3.4

- » Credit Hour Requirements: Fulfill requirements for the Computer Science major
leading to a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree, of which at least 16 hours of
Computer Science courses must be completed on an Honors basis. A student may receive
Honors credit for any Computer Science course except CS 2890 and CS 4890*. In addition,
complete an Honors Senior Project (CS 4800).
* Permission from the department chair should be sought before registering in a
course for Honors credit. A written agreement should be reached with the appropriate
professor regarding the work expected for Computer Science Honors credit. (See the Honors Program.)
